Provision for electrical installation in Building works Intimation to Electrical Wing.

    Instructions for indicating the provisions of electric installations in the Government Resolution according administrative approval to building works have been issued in Government Circular, Buildings and Communications Department No.BDG 3871-K dated 16th February 1971.

    In order to enable the Electrical Department to complete the work of electrification, installation of lifts, pumps etc. simultaneously with the civil works, it is necessary to inform the electrical department about the probable date of handing over of the building, probable date when the building would be ready for electrification and the amount available for electrical works.

The following procedure should hereafter be follow- ed for speedy execution of the electrical works :-

(1) Copies of administrative approval should invariably be endorsed to the Chief Engineer (Electrical, Superintending Engineer, Electrical, Bombay and the concerned Executive Engineer, Electrical Division, and the amount provided for electrical works and lifts (if any) should invariably be mentioned therein. If there is no provision for electrical works it should be specifically so mentioned.

(2) Line plan of the building should be sent to the concerned Executive Engineer (Electrical) as soon as it is ready.

(3) Letter issuing technical sanction should also be endorsed to the Chief Engineer (Electrical), Superintending Engineer, Electrical Bombay and the concerned Executive Engineer (Electrical) indicating therein provision made for electrical works.

(4) Copy of work order for civil work including additions and alterations should invariably be sent to the Chief Engineer (Electrical), Superintending Engr. Electrical Bombay and the concerned Executive Engineer (Electrical) indicating therein the probable date of completion of work and the probable date when the civil work will come to a stage when the electrical works can be started (ordinarily electrical work can commence almost immediately after plastering work is over).
